Closing Statement of
The Conference for Support of The Bahraini People Will in Peaceful Constitutional Change

 
Believing in People’s right to live in dignity, and committing to Human Rights Concepts, Social Justice , Democracy, feeling responsibility towards the brother Bahraini People, proceeding from new democratic Iraq and with participation with large number of the Bahraini and Gulf Forces, and with presence of International & Arabic & Social & Political figures, and with blessings of the Religious Authority, and in compliance with it statement to achieve stability, peace and security in the region and guiding it to peoples support, and in compliance with peaceful public revolutions that prevailed in the Arabic World, the advocates of Freedom and Democracy in Iraq and outside it called in for a conference to support Bahraini People, which was held in the Iraqi Capital Baghdad during Friday and Saturday the 1st and 2nd of April, 2011 to support the Bahraini People Will in Peaceful Constitutional Change.
 
During the conference sessions a detailed discussion for the Bahraini popular peaceful demands movement was conducted and also it’s legitimate call for establishing pillars of social peace and democracy and Consecration of the state of Justice and Law and establishing the principle of equitable distribution of wealth and authority and the termination of policy Sectarian discrimination with all its shapes.
 
At the end of the conference, and after extensive discussions of main axes of the conference agenda, the participants call for:
-           Immediate cessation of all military and security operations against the peaceful Bahraini People.
-           Immediate withdrawal of Peninsula Shield (Dire’ Aljazeera) Force from Bahrain.
-           Immediate release of all political detainees, view & consciousness prisoners, jail whitening and cessation of the random detentions.
-           Compensation of martyrs, injured and those affected by the offensive actions since beginning of the peaceful demonstrations on the 14th of last February.
-           Calling in the General Prosecutor in the International Criminal Court to open an immediate and impartial prosecution in the distinction crimes committed against humanity and to present to justice those involved in using live bullets against peaceful demonstrators.
-           Cessation of religious, cultural and media incite campaigns which call for Sectarian tension and alignment.
-           Provision of urgent medical and human necessities to the Bahraini People sons and removal of all obstacles that hamper normal movement of the Bahraini citizens.
-           Invitation of the Arab League, Islamic conference Organization and International Security Council to urgent action to take executive decisions necessary to cure the current situation that threatens peace in the area. 
 
At the end of their conference works, the participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the sons of the noble Iraqi people for their support to the Bahraini just case, also to appreciate the distinguished of efforts of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hadi Al Chalabi; the Chairman of the popular committee in Iraq to support the People of Bahrain, and the respected members of committee, and the participants forward a message of love and pride to the esteemed religious Authority for their Parental and responsible attitudes. Also thanks to the political forces and to the Iraqi Council of Representatives and to civil society organizations who participated in solidarity with the Sister Bahrain.                             
 
The participants in the conference seize this opportunity to forward a message of love and appreciation to the Bahraini People and support to their peaceful movement and legitimate demands, and declare their solidarity and support to them in their struggle for freedom, democracy and dignity. 
 
 

The participants recommended:

1. Emphasis on supporting the legitimate rights of the Bahraini People and support of their appeal to qualify the country politically and socially to the rules of democratic process.
2. The conference will continue its activities and events under the name of the General Conference for support of the Bahraini People and the conference will remain in permanent session and continuous follow up to the situations in Bahrain and its open developments to all possibilities.
3.  Investing a General Secretariat for the conference and appointing a Secretary General for it and organizing permanent offices within its structure:
•           Political Office
•           Media office
•           Legal and Constitutional Office
•           Communication and Relations Office
•           Monitoring and Documentation Office
•           Researches and Studies Office
•           Logistics and Human Support Office
4.         The participants appeal to the regional & international organizations, civil society establishments, advocates of justice & peace and human rights defenders all over the world to advocate the Bahraini People and support them to get their legitimate and fair demands and to work for cessation of continuous violations & massacres against the Defenseless innocent  Bahraini sons.
5.         The participants launched (Baghdad Call) in which they call Bahrain King to respond and return to Dialogue initiative based on the seven points announced by The Crown Prince and sponsored by religious and political Authorities. And the participants task the chairman of the conference Mr. Dr. Ahmed Al Chalabi to coordinate with esteemed religious Authorities and political leaders in the concerned states and to form a delegate to the Prince of Kuwait State in support of his efforts to launch the dialogue and also to meet the political and community leaders in Bahrain and to inform the General Secretariat with results.
6.         Create the suitable atmosphere to form a sound ground for dialogue, the participants appeal to dispute parties to create the atmospheres and to start with immediate actions to achieve that.
